Sea Shepherd's mission is to conserve and protect the world's marine wilderness eco-systems and marine wildlife species. The reason we support this organization is because they are "doers"! These guys put their boats and themselves at risk, on the front lines. They are true activists that are confronting the real immediate threats of illegal whaling, shark finning, uncontrolled long-lining and ruthless slaughter of dolphins. They are non-violent in their approach with intentions of raising awareness and education around these important ocean issues.
Seacology is the world's premier nonprofit environmental organization with the sole purpose of preserving the environments and cultures of islands throughout the world. Not only do islands conjure images of paradise, they are extremely rich in biodiversity, yet threatened like never before. We support this organization because they are creating win/win situations by directly working with the local islanders to address their needs while protecting the local environment.
WildAid's mission is to end the illegal wildlife trade within our lifetimes. We are supporting this organization as they have a huge campaign dealing with awareness and education around the issue of shark finning. Read more here to learn about how important sharks are in the marine ecosystem.

They use law, science and the support of 1.2 million members and online activists to protect the planet's wildlife and wild places and to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all living thing. We support NRDC because they are fighting in the courtrooms with a significant backing of $ and people, to combat the corporations and governments who only care about the growth of their personal wealth and power.
